Folds of Honor Golf Bag Honoring Master Sergeant Danial Adams
In December, Notre Dame men’s golfers Tucker Clark, Davis Chatfield, and Palmer Jackson represented the Irish at The Patriot All-America Golf Tournament. Each golfer played in honor of a fallen or severely injured soldier by carrying a golf bag bearing the name of a soldier.
The trio of Irish golfers received a card with the soldier’s story, so they can be familiar with who that person was, what they represented, and how they were killed or wounded in action. At the conclusion of the tournament, the golf bags were shipped to the players’ schools and now being auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military servicemen and women killed or disabled while in active service.
This bag was used by Tucker Clark and signed by all of the golfers that he played with during the tournament.
Tucker Clark honored Master Sergeant Danial Adams, who hailed from Portland, Oregon. Adams was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group in Stuttgart, Germany. On September 13th, 2011, MSgt. Adams was killed when insurgents attacked his unit with mortar, machine guns, and small arms in Wardak province, Afghanistan.
